Emptiness Creates Room for Your Spirit to be Filled

Emptiness Creates Room for Your Spirit to be Filled

We can all relate to that feeling of emptiness. Whether it being, emptiness from the job that we currently work in or just going through our regular pattern of life. This post is specifically for knowing how to fill that emptiness with what we are called to do. As well as opening our eyes to the idea that emptiness isn’t just a point where you hit rock bottom but it can be an opportunity for renewal.

What does Emptiness mean ?

Emptiness can often entail the feeling of loneliness, confusion or the lack of determination of achieving a goal.

Put simply:
Contain nothing; not filled or occupied

Does it sound discouraging-yes, but you have a choice to either let it overtake or allow God to pour into you

How does “God pour into you”?

In order for “God to pour into you” The emptiness that you have, you have to ask yourself Do I want to overcome this emptiness? Once you ask yourself that question here are the steps that you need to take:

Read the Bible - If your constantly being consumed by worldly things and not feeling your inner-man with the word then you will never break that feeling

Affirmations - The more you speak positive the better you will feel. The enemy wants you to stay in that negativity but when you fight back, thats when you win

Pray - The enemy wants you to have that disconnection with God because he knows once you communicate with him, he can’t hold you anymore. Why do you think the enemy was so mad when jesus rose, because he broke the veil between us and the father. We gained access to him, so anytime you don’t feel like praying he loves that because he will have your mind all to himself.

Think of it this way:
These 3 steps are the grounding zone to filling your emptiness. The enemy will constantly try to whisper lies and negativity so then you don’t make an effort to pursue these steps.

Yet, we don't have to be afraid from that instead we can choose peace instead of torment.

It can’t just be God who does all the work, we have to be able to have a willing heart to persevere.

With God we can obtain that peace and joy that we have been longing for

Symptoms of Emptiness

As adults we have been programmed to suppress the void that we might feel. Sometimes advice given from our parents to keep on going and to never let people know whats going on in the house. As a result, people go through depression, suicide and the lost of one’s identity.

But hear this:
Let’s say in your childhood, you go through something traumatic and you never open up about it. When you don't have conversation about it leaves an open door for the enemy to sneak in. In the book of Job, the Bible lets us know that when you gravitate to emptiness you are deceiving yourself, you end up still feeling empty and there will be no change in you. The root of emptiness is anger, you come to a state where you get so filled with rage that you began to become numb.

So let’s make this clear:
When you don’t openly express your emotions and bottle it up inside it spiritually drains you.

You become exhausted spiritually as well as physically that is why many people do nothing with their lives because they feel like they have no purpose. Thats not true. God has given us instructions to spread the gospel to others and to be like Him.  When we set our goal to reflect God we wind up finding our purpose and identity through God.
What does God say about Emptiness:

  • God already knows our destiny (Jeremiah 29:11)
  • When we are at our worse, God still loves us  (Romans 5:8)
  • Jesus is the way (John 14:6)
  • God has carried our worries and sins (Isaiah 53:4-6)

Let’s Talk About The Void

Genesis 1:2 (NIV) says:
Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.”
That word void is rich with meaning:
Void (Hebrew: Bohu)

Meaning undistinguished ruin

To make empty

Void into the abyss, unknown darkness

Don't allow emptiness to overtake you.

If you do feel empty you don’t have to feel discouraged this is the moment to start pouring into your spirit man.

When you use the steps, you start to feel that spiritual wholeness.
God is who we have to look like. Nothing else matters.

Final Thought:

Pour into your Spirit. With the strength of God, Not You.

Matthew 11:28 (NKJV):
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest”.
When we feel empty inside, Jesus is saying to come to Him. He will carry our burdens just as he carried that cross. He took every sin, worry and emptiness that we felt with Him to the cross.

Let Jesus guide you through everything that you do not just when you feel dreadful but when you think you are at your highest. That’s usually when you need Him the most.

So after reading this blog, will you give Him all of you even when you feel like there is nothing left?
