About the Founder
Hakim Taliaferro is a husband, father, and entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in business, community-building, and purpose-driven leadership. As the founder of The Taliaferro, a successful niche fragrance brand, Hakim understands the balance between ambition and impact. He created Alpha Talk to empower others—especially those from underserved communities—to discover their voice, refine their purpose, and live with focus and fulfillment.
Our Philosophy
Alpha Talk is inspired by a timeless principle: using what’s in your hands—your skills, passions, and vision—to make a difference. We draw from spiritual values, especially the idea that influence begins with identity. We may not be called to reach everyone, but we’re here to serve those within our lane with intention and excellence.
Through powerful conversations, practical strategy, and a supportive community, we equip Kingdom-minded entrepreneurs and curious seekers alike to grow into the leaders they were created to be.
Our Beliefs
At Alpha Talk, we are unapologetically grounded in the Word of God and empowered by the Spirit of God. Our goal is to create a space where Christian entrepreneurs and leaders grow—not just in influence, but in intimacy with Christ.
1. Scripture
We believe the Bible is the infallible, authoritative Word of God. It is the foundation for life, leadership, and identity. Through the Holy Spirit, Scripture transforms us into the image of Christ—our ultimate model.
2. Salvation & Identity
We believe salvation is by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is God’s invitation to return to Him—not as robots, but as sons and daughters. Our identity is hidden in Christ and revealed as we follow Him. In surrender, we move from self-expression to God-expression.
3. The Trinity
We affirm the triune nature of God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We relate to God as the Architect (Father), the Model (Jesus), and the Guide (Holy Spirit)—each playing a vital role in how we live, lead, and build.
4. The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is active today, empowering believers with wisdom, gifts, and discernment—especially in the marketplace. We don’t limit how He moves. Our call is to stay yielded and aligned.
5. The Church & The Kingdom
We believe the Church is a people, not a place. We support and collaborate with local ministries, honoring authority while staying submitted to Scripture. Believers are called to be salt and light in culture, living holy, passionate, and consecrated lives.
6. Prophetic & Apostolic Ministry
We affirm the fivefold ministry and believe God still speaks, sends, and equips. Our gatherings encourage believers to hear God, study the Word, and grow in safe spaces that foster intimacy with the Holy Spirit and maturity in faith.
7. Cultural Engagement
We’re called to influence culture through a Kingdom lens—not to conform to the world but to transform it. We encourage wisdom, healing, and wholeness so believers can live with stability, clarity, and single-minded devotion to Christ.
