Before Hakim, I was looking for insight on going through another transition. Hakim called it out before I could. When I heard the confirmation, I named it, and accepted. Sometimes in transition, I cannot see the shift. Hakim is anointed, and gifted. Hard to find both in the same person as they mean different things. He is incredibly blessed as a listener and offers insight into matters I know but have not spoken about to others. Since sharing and learning from Hakim, I feel a closer connection to the Holy Spirit through my increased interest in reading the Word, and slowing down to listen, which was always an area I struggled with being a person who has little patience. His knowledge of scriptures also helps me connect the dots. Hakim does not give advice. He helps me make the most sense of the matter on my own terms according to how I am led by the Lord. Alpha Talk is truly a Breath of Fresh Air. A Place where Creatives can come together and Engage with one another and Not just to Network but Encourage and Build Each other up while sharing from each other’s experiences, wisdom and knowledge. Entrepreneurs from many areas of Industry. What stands out the most to me is the fact that there are practicing Christian Entrepreneurs in the mix. What a Blessing it is to me as a Born Again Practicing Christian in Ministry and Community Services. While I do not have any experience with Alpha Talk, I do have life experience with Hakim. We worked in the same building for a little bit of time. He always had a very calm way about him and was always extremely positive. I just had a feeling he was a man with deeply rooted faith, and I was not wrong. One day we just started talking about our faith in Christ and the rest was history. Every day that I saw Hakim and had extra time, we would chat at his desk or mine. God is certainly using Hakim for His work on this earth, and I feel my faith is even stronger now because of our talks and his encouragement. God Bless!
It has been such an incredible experience knowing Hakim. I have known Hakim for over a decade and even though we are on two separate continents and have never met in person, he has remained a true friend. I have been a part of the Alpha Talk family since the beginning. While residing in NJ, I used to attend it's weekly in-person events and every week I would grow. My network, faith, and confidence alike experienced paramount growth. I thank God for this weekly newsletter as well as the website because for a long time I dealt with being silent and not doing what God wanted me to do out of fear. Although, absorbing all that I have been taught through this website has helped me to have more boldness and coming to the realization that it's not about how I feel but it's about God getting the glory.
