The Day of My Visitation

Let me be clear: I'm not deep. I'm not special. I didn’t ‘earn’ a holy encounter with God. But on this day, He visited me. Not because of anything I did—He came simply because He wanted to.
When He Came
The King of Glory entered my space. There was no build-up, no dramatic atmosphere shift beforehand—He just came. And in that moment, I knew: this was a visitation.
He came to tell me He loved me. Not to assign me a task, not to rebuke or promote me—but just to affirm that He sees me and delights in me. I felt like a sheep in His arms, gently held and acknowledged.
I Couldn't Manufacture This
As He stood with me, thoughts crept into my mind: Maybe He came because I’ve been doing better. Maybe I finally measured up.
But that’s not it. He made it clear—His presence wasn’t a response to my performance. It was His choice. He came because He is loving, and He wanted to come. God isn’t a genie. He’s not someone we can summon. He is a sovereign Person, and He chooses how and when He moves.
The Street Cleaner Analogy
As I reflected on His visitation, He gave me this image: the street cleaner.
Street cleaners operate early in the morning—when the streets are quiet and activity is minimal. They come when the world is at rest, clearing away what’s been left behind. That’s how God moved with me.
He visited in a still moment. When things were calm, He came to sweep through my soul, gently reminding me of His love and presence. The world was still enough for me to sense Him clearly. It wasn’t about hype—it was about stillness.
What I Learned
God doesn’t need our permission to move. He moves because He is good. He visits because He loves.
And when He comes, everything shifts. Not because you’re worthy—but because He’s holy.
His presence silences the noise. It puts everything else into perspective. When He enters the room, the atmosphere bends. All attention shifts to Him.
You’ll know it when it happens. Not because of a feeling—but because you become completely aware of Him. He fills the room, and anything that stands in the way—idols, distractions, pride—becomes painfully visible under the light of His presence.
Closing Reflection
This blog isn’t about a spiritual high. It’s about a holy moment.
I didn’t earn it. I didn’t provoke it. He came because He’s kind.
And that’s the takeaway: chase Him, not the experience. Surrender, not performance. Make space, not noise.
He still visits. And He’ll come again—often when we least expect it, when we’re still enough to hear Him sweeping through.
