Where Are You God?
So one night the king of Aram sent a great army with many chariots and horses to surround the city. When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. “Oh, sir, what will we do now?” the young man cried to Elisha. “Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!” Then Elisha prayed, “O Lord , open his eyes and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire. As the Aramean army advanced toward him, Elisha prayed, “O Lord , please make them blind.” So the Lord struck them with blindness as Elisha had asked. - 2 Kings 6:14-18 NLT
Let's be straight: Ok, so we know that God loves us. We know that He always has our best interests in mind. We know that He knows all things and is making us into better people, but we all have one question when we are in the heat of battle: God, where are you Right NOW? We all have been there. Hopefully, this message will give you some insight on how God operates and how deep His love is for you.
Three Supportive Statements:
- The enemy attacks our weak spots. He will constantly go after the area where we are weak rather than places where we are strong. We need to ask the Lord to shine light on these areas in a way that we can handle it and take note of it. Until these areas are clearly addressed, we will be susceptible the same attack from the enemy.
- We must gain knowledge of how much God truly loves us and truly meditate on His Word. We must ask ourselves "what has happened to me that causes me to question God's love for me?". We must seek to grasp His unfailing love for us.
